Supervisor, District One - Kuyler Crocker

Supervisor Kuyler Crocker will represents the First District which covers the northeastern portion of Tulare County, including the communities of Exeter, Farmersville, Lemoncove, Lindsay, Strathmore, Three Rivers, East Visalia and portions of Kings Canyon and Sequoia National Parks and Sequoia National Forest. He was elected to the Board of Supervisors in 2016, filling the seat upon Allen Ishida's retirement.

Supervisor Crocker represents the Board of Supervisors on the California State Association of Counties Agriculture & Natural Resources Committee; Rural County Representatives of California (RCRC); California Freight Advisory Committee; the City of Exeter Redevelopment Oversight Board; the City of Farmersville Redevelopment Oversight Board; the City of Lindsay Redevelopment Oversight Board; East Kaweah Groundwater Sustainability Agency; Greater Kaweah Groundwater Sustainability Agency; the Kings/Tulare Area Agency on Aging Governing Board; the Tulare County Association of Governments; the Lake Kaweah Enlargement Project; San Joaquin Valley Insurance Authority; San Joaquin Valley Regional Policy Council of Governments; Sierra Nevada Conservancy; Tulare County Audit Committee; Tulare County Transportation Authority and the Yosemite Sequoia Resource Conservation & Development Council.

Supervisor Crocker is a third-generation Strathmore High School Alumnus and continues to serve his High School community, as President of the Strathmore High Alumni Association.  Other relatives of Kuyler’s have attended Lindsay and Exeter High Schools.  Kuyler received a degree in Public Administration from Fresno State University. In addition he studied Business Management, with an emphasis in Organizational Leadership; GIS mapping; and Urban and Regional Planning. Kuyler is an avid Bulldog enthusiast.

Shortly after graduating from Fresno State during one of the most dire recessions of the past century, he sought work and found it in the form of a Night Shift Supervisor at a local citrus packing house.  Upon finishing the season, he found work with a local energy company in their Government Relations department.There he advocated for customers, partners with local industry groups in agriculture, business, and labor, and facilitates large charitable contributions to local non-profit organizations in need.

Supervisor Crocker is very active in the community serving on a local Credit Union Board of Directors, Strathmore Alumni Association, Boys & Girls Club local committee, Friends of SCICON, and at his church. He also farms citrus and olives alongside his uncle and father in Lindsay/Strathmore.

Supervisor Crocker is focused on working on water issues related to California's Sustainable Groundwater Management Act, building Temperance Flat via the San Joaquin Valley Water Infrastructure Authority, and advocating in our capitals for good water legislation.  He is committed to working with his colleagues and staff to having safe communities, as well as, enhancing economic development opportunities for Tulare County.
