Leadership Academy 2017 Application Period Begins

Human Resources and Development, with support by the County Administrative Office (CAO) and Board of Supervisors, along with the assistance of County departmental professionals, developed a Leadership Academy for the purpose of providing the knowledge, resources and tools to facilitate the development of our future leaders throughout the organization.

The content during the six month Leadership Academy is designed to reflect a broader understanding of Leadership, as well as the various challenges and requirements associated with the responsibility of managing and directing programs, people and departments.  One four-hour class is held per month. There will be a final project workshop participant’s will collaboratively work on and present before the Board of Supervisors and CAO.

Our “Class of 2012” successfully held the County’s first “Employee Empowerment Symposium” reaching 350 employees with a day of workshops.  The “Class of 2013” held a Mentoring/Job Shadow Day at the County, with high school students learning about County careers from our employees.  The “Class of 2015” promoted Volunteerism with “#TCVolunteers”a three month volunteer challenge to engage employees in service projects throughout the community.

We are now opening the application period for the 2017 Leadership Academy.  An application form is attached to this email for your use and referral.
