The applications accessible from this page are a convenient way to view and to fill-out applications on-line. The actual submission of applications on-line is not yet available through this web site, but is planned for a future version. You can, however, access the desired applications here, fill them out on-line through this web site, print the completed applications, and then mail them to the RMA Transportation Branch. The address of the RMA Transportation Branch is shown below. (If you prefer, you can just print the blank applications from this site, fill them out by hand, and mail them). APPLICATION FOR ENCROACHMENT PERMIT...REQUIREMENTS
...must be filled out in full, including both the signatures of the owner and contractor. Enclose two sets of plans of the proposed work.
CERTIFICATE OF INSURANCE is required. A minimum liability of $500,000 is required and the following phrase must be typed verbatim on all certificates of insurance:
"THE COUNTY OF TULARE, ALL OF ITS OFFICERS AND EMPLOYEES ARE NAMED AS ADDITIONAL INSURED."
BOND is required. A bond amount is calculated for each job. Any higher amount may be posted and individual jobs will be deducted from the available balance. The minimum bond or bond balance shall be $5,000.00. Larger jobs may require larger bond amounts, to be determined by Permit Agent. For questions call (559) 624-7000.
ANY REQUIREMENTS OR REGULATIONS YOU FEEL UNJUST MAY BE APPEALED TO THE COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS.
