This element of the department encompasses several areas that are vital to the department mission. These areas are Fire Prevention, Fire Communications Center (FireComm) and Fleet Services.

Operations Division
Operations Division

The Operations Division consists of over 400 career fire officers and Extra Help Paid On Call personnel who provide services 24 hours per day, seven days a week, year round from 27 community based fire stations.  Tulare County Fire Department (TCFD) personnel respond to approximately 12,000 calls for service each year.

Training Division
Training Division

The Training & Safety Division is responsible for the overall training of all personnel. Staffing includes 1 Division Chief, 2 Captains (Training/Safety Officers) and 1 Office Assistant. Company Officers (Captains or Lieutenants) from the field serve on cadres for various subjects. The Training Division Chief oversees the facility maintenance services for TCFD.
