The Benefit Amount is a financial contribution that the County provides to employees on a pre-tax basis to help offset a portion of the health insurance premiums. Benefit amounts vary by Bargaining Unit and Salary Grade.
The minimum Benefit Amount for 2019 for most bargaining units will be $327.39 per PP if enrolling in a health plan. This is equivalent to 100% of the core benefit package for employee only in the Anthem Blue Cross PPO $1000 Deductible plan. If an employee elects to waive the County’s health plans the minimum benefit amount will continue to be $41.67 per pay period (24 pay periods) or $1,000 annually.
