Deputies were dispatched to a residence within the community of Richgrove in regards to an assault with a deadly weapon. Upon arrival, the victim advised her 27-year-old son, Jose Martin Fregoso, assaulted her with a screw driver, damaged her residence and advised he was going to kill her.
The victim advised during this incident she attempted to leave the residence but was kept against her will by her son. The victim advised she was able to escape the residence, however Jose further assaulted her in the front yard. Victim advised Jose caused approximately $800 worth of damage to her residence. The victim refused medical treatment.
Deputies were able to locate the suspect, Jose Martin Fregoso, at a residence in the area and take him into custody for PC245 (a) (1)- assault with a deadly weapon, PC422- terrorist threats, PC236- false imprisonment, and PC594- vandalism.
