On Monday, October 13, 2014 Detectives with the Tulare County Sheriff Department’s STEP Unit responded to a residence in the 600 block of Roosevelt in the City of Visalia in order to conduct an investigation into an illegal marijuana grow site located at the residence. Upon arrival, Detectives encountered four individuals who were processing cultivated marijuana within a garage adjacent to the residence. All of the marijuana that had been grown in the backyard was now being processed for sales. Detectives seized approximately 500 pounds of dried marijuana that was being trimmed and processed into one pound bags. An additional 30 pounds of fully processed marijuana was also located within the residence along with $5,800.00 in US currency.  Detectives estimate the total street value of the marijuana at over $570,000.00

Roberto Larios, 26; Leonardo Contreras, 26; Eduardo Rivas, 35 and Juan Aguayo, 39 all of Visalia were arrested at the scene for felony cultivation and possession of marijuana for sales. They were booked into the Tulare County Pre-Trial Facility.
