On 12/22/2015 at approx.1400 hours, Investigators with the Interagency Gang Enforcement Team (IGET) and the Tulare County Sheriff’s Department Gang Violence Suppression Unit were in the area of Belmont Ave. and Visalia Rd in Exeter searching for Suspect Angel Gomez. (S) Gomez had an active Felony Warrant for Attempted Homicide and was known to frequent the Exeter area. Investigators were able to locate (S) Gomez in the area walking towards the Rite-Aid shopping center. (S) Gomez was subsequently taken into custody in the parking lot and found to have a loaded .25 caliber firearm concealed on his person. (S) Gomez was later booked at the Tulare County Pre-Trial Facility on the above listed charges. (S) Gomez is a known Southern Gang member from the Exeter area.

The Interagency Gang Enforcement Team in made up of Investigators form the Tulare County Sheriff’s Department, Exeter and Farmersville Police Departments and is fund through a grant from the Justice Assistance Grant (JAG) called Closing the Circle program.
