On Wednesday, September 23, 2015 at approximately 1733 hours, deputies responded to three (3) residences in the County of Tulare regarding a phone call they received from a subject identifying himself as a Tulare County Sheriff Deputy James Marshal.  The subject is notifying citizens of outstanding warrants and attempts to have them take care of the bail, which is stated at the time of the call, by responding to local stores to obtain a Green Dot Card.  After obtaining the card(s), they are requested to re-contact the subject and provide the numbers on the card to make payment of the "outstanding warrants".  The Tulare County Sheriff's Department does not accept payment for outstanding warrants and will not request payment of any form in this manner.  If a call is received and is believed to be in similar nature, contact you local law enforcement agency immediately.  This case is still under investigation.  Any person with information is asked to call the Tulare County Sheriff's Department at 559-733-6211
