On 4/26/18 at approximately 0900 hours, the Tulare County Sheriff’s Office conducted a search in the Porterville area for missing person Charles “Harold” Hood. Mr. Hood was last seen on 3/15/18 leaving his residence on the 20900 block of Avenue 152 in a silver Chrysler Town & Country minivan.
Mr. Hood is described as a Caucasian male, 82 years of age, 5-foot, 3-inches tall with a slender build and gray hair.
The search was part of the Sheriff’s Office’s on-going investigation to locate Mr. Hood. The search included approximately 30 detectives and volunteers from the Tulare County Sheriff’s Office Violent Crimes Unit, Tulare Area Gang and Narcotics Enforcement Team (TAGNET), County Apprehension Team Tracking Criminals in Hiding (CATTCH), Agricultural Crimes Unit, Aviation Support Unit and Volunteers on Patrol (VIPs).
Also assisting in the search were specialized search K-9s from the Santa Barbara Sheriff’s Office. The search was completed in the area of Avenue 152 and Road 208 in Porterville.
