On 9-27-15 Pixley Patrol Deputies responded to the Tipton area in regards to the report of a shooting. Upon arrival they were told a black SUV was seen in the area driving erratically and shots were fired from within the vehicle. Evidence was collected on scene indicating shots were fired.
Deputies later located a vehicle matching the description provided by witnesses in the Pixley area. Upon contacting several subjects in the proximity of the vehicle, Deputies located further evidence in plain sight. Based on this evidence it was believed the vehicle located was the suspect vehicle at which time Detectives were contacted and took over the investigation. A search warrant was authored for the vehicle ultimately revealing a sawed off shotgun concealed inside the suspect vehicle. As a result of the investigation Ismael Valdez of Pixley was taken into custody for negligent discharge of a firearm as well as possession of an altered firearm.
