UPDATE: Farmer and his sons catch wanted burglar in the act, chase him up a tree

Around 7:30 this morning, Tulare County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a call of a burglary near Road 48 and Ave 236 in Tulare. This location is on the same property where a burglary occurred on Saturday, that resulted in the arrest of Oscar Rodriguez. The other suspect in that burglary, Ricardo Gomez-Jimenez, remained on the loose. (Release was sent out yesterday)

When deputies arrived this morning, they learned the outstanding suspect from Saturday’s burglary, Gomez-Jimenez, had come back to the Santos Family property and tried to break into a home through a window (he broke into a storage building on Saturday).

When he opened the window, an alarm went off and the farmer on the property, along with his two sons, chased Gomez-Jimenez away from the home and eventually up a tree. The suspect then jumped out of the tree with a screwdriver. He was then hit and forced to the ground until deputies arrived.

No one was hurt and Gomez-Jimenez was taken into custody.
