At 11:15 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 21, 2015, two officers attempted to serve a domestic violence warrant for arrest on the 5000 block of Avenue 309. This was part of the National Family Violence Apprehension detail, a multi-agency and nation-wide effort to put domestic violence offenders behind bars.

As two officers attempted to serve the warrant, the suspect fled on foot and the officers gave chase. They caught him and a physical altercation ensued resulting in an officer involved shooting. 

The suspect is deceased.


UPDATE: The suspect has been positively identified as Ryan Christopher Rodriguez, 21, of Goshen.

This warrant was one of 187 warrants to be served in Tulare County Oct. 21, 2015. The operation began at 6 a.m.

The National Family Violence Apprehension detail was organized nation wide by the Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office in Oregon as part of National Domestic Violence Awareness month.
