Just before 6 p.m. on 10/15/20, TCSO Deputies were called to the area of Road 120 and Avenue 144 in Tipton for a report of two men in a blue Toyota sedan tagging a water tank.

When they arrived, Deputies found gang graffiti on the water tank. About a mile away from the scene, Deputies spotted two men with spray paint residue on them, as well as other evidence that connected them to the crime. The suspects, 23-year-old Alex Menchaca and 19-year-old Alex Jimenez, also admitted to be active Norteno gang members.

Menchaca and Jimenez were later booked at the South County Detention Facility for Vandalism and the crime of participation in a gang.
