Suspect: Martin Salazar, 23 Years of age, Poplar resident.

Deputies attempted to conduct a traffic stop in the Poplar area, but the vehicle failed to yield.  The pursuit was less than a half a mile in length and the driver, Martin Salazar, attempted to run from the scene.  Salazar was followed on foot and apprehended.  The investigation revealed Salazar was in possession of over ½ ounce of purported methamphetamine. 

The three occupants of Salazar’s vehicle were also arrested for misdemeanor offenses.

Salazar and the three passengers were arrested and booked at the Tulare County Pre Trial Facility.
