The first memorial tree planting at a Tulare County Park is planned to honor the memory of Victoria Jean Lynn Worrell at Mooney Grove Park on October 23, 2024. This special event will celebrate the life and legacy of Victoria, who touched the lives of her close friends and family. “May her gentle spirit inspire all of us,” said Gail Worrell, Victoria’s grandmother.
Family and close friends of Victoria will be joining Tulare County Parks for this meaningful tribute as they come together to remember her warmth, kindness, and contributions. Mooney Grove Park held a special place in Victoria’s heart. She loved the ducks, the duck pond, and enjoyed the peacefulness of the park. The planting of the tree serves as a living memorial, symbolizing growth, remembrance, and the enduring impact of Victoria's life as well as her love for the park.
“We are honored to host this memorial event for Victoria,” said Albert Cendejas, Parks Manager. “This tree will not only beautify Mooney Grove Park but also serve as a lasting tribute to a remarkable individual whose spirit will continue to inspire us.”
The memorial tree planting will include brief remarks from her grandmother, Gail Worrell, and park officials, followed by the planting ceremony.
The Tulare County Memorial tree program was created to memorialize loved ones that visited and appreciated Tulare County Parks during their lives. The program is available to the public and is available at most Tulare County Parks. For more information, call 559.205.1105.
