Tulare County Seeks to Fill Unexpected Vacancy on the Assessment Appeals Board

The Tulare County Board of Supervisors is seeking interested individuals to fill an unexpected vacancy in District 5 on the Assessment Appeals Board.

Position: District 5 Representative

Term Ending: September 4, 2026

Qualifications: A person shall not be eligible for nomination for membership on an assessment appeals board unless he or she has a minimum of five years professional experience in this state as one of the following:

  • Certified Public Accountant or
  • public accountant; licensed real estate broker; attorney; property appraiser accredited by a nationally recognized professional organization or
  • certified by the Office of Real Estate Appraisers or
  • certified by the State Board of Equalization.

Function: Determines the full value of property or determines other matters of property tax assessment over which the Appeals Board has jurisdiction.

Meet: Third Thursday of each month, at 9:00 a.m., in the Board of Supervisors Chambers (with the exception of July which falls on the third Monday due to the Annual Meeting).
