Requirements for Loads Brought to the Landfill

Refuse loads delivered to any County disposal site must be securely covered. Securely covered is defined as a load that is securely covered and fastened to the transport vehicle/trailer in such a manner that any waste shall not be scattered on roadways, streets, and/or highways within the County.
Unsecured loads, including bagged waste, must be properly fastened to the transport vehicle with a tarp, cover, or other means to ensure material debris cannot blow out and cause littler.
Any person delivering an uncovered load shall be in violation of California Penal Code Section §374, and California Code Sections §23114 and §23115 and will incur an Uncovered Load fee of $10.00 per occurrence.
Offloading from Trailers

Effective immediately, trailers requiring manual offloading will NOT be accepted after 3:30 PM.
Only trailers equipped with hydraulic lifts will be allowed after the 3:30 PM cutoff.
