Tulare County Boards, Commissions, and Committees are formed to advise the Board of Supervisors and County staff on issues and policy. They are vital to ensuring public involvement in the government process and serving as links to our community, expanding the dialogue between the public and the County government, and enhancing our residents' quality of life.
The County of Tulare appreciates your interest in serving on one of the County's Boards, Commissions, and Committees. We welcome the participation of our citizens and have a wide variety of positions available. Some of our appointed bodies have very targeted, specific focus, while others have broad-based jurisdictional responsibilities.

On or before December 31 of each year, each legislative body shall prepare an appointments list of all regular and ongoing boards, commissions, and committees which are appointed by the legislative body of the local agency. This list shall be known as the Local Appointments List. Click Here to view 2024 lists. The lists shall contain the following information:
(a) A list of all appointive terms which will expire during the next calendar year, with the name of the incumbent appointee, the date of appointment, and date the term expires, and the necessary qualifications for the position.
(b) A list of all boards, commissions, and committees whose members serve at the pleasure of the legislative body, and the necessary qualifications for each position.
