Shooting into Field of Farm Workers Sends One to Hospital

Just after 12:15 p.m. on 11/21/23, TCSO Deputies were called to a shooting in a vineyard near Avenue 152 and Road 200, just west of Porterville, where field workers were harvesting grapes. When they arrived, Deputies learned a man in a gray Honda drove up and began firing toward an empty canal, about 100 yards away from the field workers. One of the workers, A 45-year-old woman, was shot in the hand and sustained minor injuries. She was taken to an area hospital for treatment.

TCSO Detectives were called to investigate the scene. The suspect is described as a man in his mid 20s, driving a gray Honda.
