On 06/04/15 at approx. 1415 hours Deputies from the Tulare County Sheriff’s Departments Orosi Substation were dispatched to the 12900 Blk of Risely Ave in regards to a report of a male suffering from a gunshot wound. Upon Deputies arrival they located the victim, a known “Southern Gang Member" suffering from a gunshot wound to his upper torso. The victim was treated on scene by EMS personnel and transported to a local hospital for treatment of his injuries.

Investigators from the North County Gang Violence Suppression Unit were called to assist in the investigation.  The ensuing investigation determined that the victim was the passenger in a vehicle. As they were driving southbound on Rd 144 south of Ave 416 a Grey 4 door compact vehicle passed them and fired several shots at the victim’s vehicle. The Victim realized he had been shot and was driven home for medical assistance. Witnesses state the suspect vehicle is a Grey older style four door compact that was last seen traveling southbound on Rd 144 from the scene, the vehicle was occupied by several unknown subjects.

The victim has been treated and released with a non-life threatening gunshot wound to his upper torso. No other information is being released at this time.
