Gov. Code Section 12525 requires law enforcement agencies to report the death of an individual in their custody or the custody of a correctional facility to the Attorney General within 10 days after death.
In custody deaths will be posted on the left side navigation panel. Deaths will be done within 10 days of the date of death, and if there are any changes, the post will be updated within 30 days of change.
