Neglected Mini-Pony Taken From Visalia Home

On 8-12-18 a Tulare County Sheriff’s Ag Crime Detective responded to the 16500 Block of Avenue 291 in Visalia to investigate the neglect of a mini-pony reported by multiple concerned citizens via Facebook. The pony was in poor health due to age, other health issues, and failure to seek veterinary treatment. The mini-pony was taken into the custody of Tulare County Animal Control to receive nourishment and necessary medical treatment.  

Charges were submitted to the District Attorney’s Office, as the suspect was currently out of the country.
