On 9-15-17 at approximately 1407 hours, Deputies from the Sheriff’s Porterville Substation were dispatched to an armed robbery in progress at the Strathmore Liquor located in the 19500 block of Orange Belt Drive in Strathmore.
Upon arrival, Deputies contacted store clerks who reported that several suspects armed with handguns had entered the store and demanded money at gun point. The suspect’s threatened the employees who feared for their safety.
The suspects were able to take what will be an undisclosed amount of US currency. No one was injured during the incident. After committing the robbery, the suspects ran to a waiting vehicle and fled the area in a gray or silver car.
The identity of each suspect remains unknown at this time.
