On Tuesday, August 22, 2019, Detectives with the Tulare County Sheriff’s Office Homicide Unit arrested 26-year-old Alejandro Leon of Orange Cove for the shooting death of Eduardo Fonseca. Fonseca was found dead on May 23, 2019 at a property in the 4600 Block of Ave 392 in Dinuba.

During the three-month investigation, Detectives identified Leon as the person responsible for Fonseca's death. Leon was taken into custody at his Orange Cove home during a search warrant and later booked at the Tulare County Sheriff’s Office Adult Pre-trial Facility.

Alejandro was an acquaintance of Eduardo and the two had known each other for some time. A motive for the shooting has not been released, as the case is still active.
