On 4-26-17 at 1730 hours, Sheriff’s Deputies arrived in the 23000 block of Avenue 196 in Strathmore regarding a robbery alarm.  Upon arrival, Deputies determined that a 15-year-old suspect entered the store and confronted the store clerk. The suspect struck the victim several times with a bicycle chain, which caused great bodily injury. The suspect took alcohol from the store by force and fled from the scene.

While fleeing the scene, the suspect stated he would kill the victim, and the victim was in fear for his life. The suspect was later contacted at his residence, and taken into custody without incident. He was later transported to the Juvenile Detention Facility for booking.
