On 07/17/16 at approximately 2010 hours, Deputies from the Sheriff's Pixley Substation responded to a residence in the 4000 block of Avenue 54, in Alpaugh, regarding a victim who confronted a subject in the backyard of his residence.  During the investigation, it was determined a suspect entered a fenced backyard, stole marijuana from the property and attempted to cut the victim with a knife.  Evidence was collected at the scene and the case is being actively investigated.
