On Thursday, July 27, 2017 at about 1 a.m., Tulare County Sheriff's Deputies were dispatched to the 500 block of North Thompson in Tipton regarding a 22-year-old female victim with a gunshot wound.  

The victim was immediately transported away by family to seek medical attention for her injury and called 911 while en route.  Emergency Medical Personnel met with the victim several miles away from the crime scene and transported her by way of ambulance to an area hospital for further evaluation and treatment.  The injury was diagnosed by hospital staff as non-life threatening.  It is believed the gunshots came from the direction of a nearby apartment complex by at least one unidentified suspect.
