On Sunday, Aug. 13, 2017, Deputies from the Porterville Substation responded to the 600 block of East Date Avenue, in Porterville, for a report of an assault with a deadly weapon.  Deputies arrived and observed the victim to have non-life-threatening injuries.

He got into an altercation with an unknown suspect during the early morning hours near Omega Market. 

This case is under investigation by the Tulare County Sheriff's Office.
