Suspect: Moreno, Fernando (25 years old)  Booked at Adult Pre-Trial Facility

On 6-27-18 at 2022 hours, Sheriff’s Deputies responded to an assault report in the 32500 block of Lincoln Avenue, in Visalia.  Upon arrival, deputies made contact with an adult male victim and began an investigation into the crime.  The investigation revealed the suspect assaulted the victim by striking the victim with a baseball bat multiple times.  The suspect then fled the scene in a vehicle.

The victim was transported from the scene to Kaweah Delta Medical Center for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.  Deputies obtained witness statements and collected evidence from the scene.  The suspect, Fernando Moreno, was ultimately contacted and taken into custody without incident.
