On Saturday 04/23/2016 at 2154 hours, Deputies were dispatched to the 8200 block of Avenue 272 in the Visalia area regarding a physical altercation.

Deputies arrived in the area at 2214 hours. Deputies contacted the victim in the parking lot of where the incident took place. He told Deputies he saw a group of people arguing and fighting in the parking lot. The victim approached the group to attempt to de-escalate the situation. He was then assaulted by a male subject with a 4-foot long metal pipe. He said he was struck three times by the suspect.

The suspect fled the scene before deputies arrived.
