On Wednesday, 06-14-2017 at approximately 1420 hours, Deputies were dispatched to the area of Date/Leggett in Porterville, in regards to a theft/assault incident. Deputies arrived on scene and contacted the victim. The victim advised an unknown suspect stole a cell phone from the Life Wireless stand and fled in a vehicle southbound on Leggett.

Prior to the vehicle fleeing the scene, the victim attempted to stop the suspect. The victim attempted to grab the suspect as he drove off and was dragged approximately 10 feet, almost getting run over by the suspect vehicle. The victim sustained minor cuts and scrapes from the incident.

Suspect Vehicle: White, Chevrolet Pick up Truck, 4 door, Black Rims with Off road tires

Suspect Info: W.M.A., Blonde hair, facial hair, medium build
