On 03/04/15 at 1306 hours Deputies were dispatched to the 6800 Blk of Harvest Ave in regards to a disturbance involving weapons and shots being fired and the suspects leaving in a small grey vehicle. Upon the Deputies arrival the preliminary investigation determined no shots had been fired but a firearm had been brandished and the persons involved were known gang members. Investigators from the Sheriff’s Departments North County Gang Violence Suppression Unit arrived to assume the investigation.

The ensuing investigation revealed that the Victim, a 17 yr old MH Southern Gang Member, was walking down the street when he engaged in a verbal argument with the occupants of the grey vehicle who were known Northern Gang Members. The verbal argument escalated to where suspects 1 & 2 got out of the vehicle and chased the victim and when they encountered him struck and kicked him several times with shod feet, causing minor injury. The suspects got back in the car and drove by the victim’s residence and the right front passenger of the gray vehicle brandished a handgun at the victim and his family. Suspect #1 & 2 were contacted in the area and taken into custody without incident; the suspect vehicle was located and stored for evidence. Suspects #1 & 2 are still outstanding. The victim declined medical attention. No other information is being released at this time.
