On 11-01-16 at 1230 hours, Deputies were dispatched to the 6900 block of Road 136 regarding an attempted assault with a deadly weapon. The victim advised his uncle had attempted to stab him with a knife after a verbal argument ensued near the intersection of Sierra Avenue and Church Street in Earlimart.

Deputies later located and arrested the suspect at a nearby gas station in Earlimart. No injuries were reported.  The suspect, Guadalupe Torres, 26 years old of Earlimart, was arrested and booked into Tulare County Jail.
