Deputies responded to the 2500 Block of Marinette regarding a residential burglary. Once on scene Deputies located an open door and broken window on the southwest portion of the residence.

A search of the surrounding area for physical evidence and investigative leads revealed a Ford Ranger parked in an orange orchard north of the residence. A male subject was located in an orange orchard north of the vehicle. The male subject was identified as Phillip Easley.

After further investigation it was confirmed Easley was involved in the attempted burglary. Easley was found in possession of evidence which confirmed his participation.

A second male subject was identified as Jake Randolph was identified as being at the scene and had fled prior to Deputies arrival. Randolph was later contacted in the City of Exeter.

Easley and Randolph were subsequently taken into custody for the attempted burglary and booked at the Pre-Trial Facility for attempted burglary and conspiracy.
