Suspect:  Joshua Jessie Cantu; 41 years old

On September 09, 2016, while Deputies assigned to the Sheriff's Pixley Substation were attempting to transport Cantu to the Adult Pre-Trial Facility for booking and housing, Cantu assaulted Sheriff's Deputies in an attempt to escape custody. 

Once Cantu was restrained and enroute to the Adult Pre-Trial Facility, he kicked out the window from a Sheriff's Patrol Unit and again attempted to escape.  As Deputies restrained Cantu on both incidents, Deputies received minor injuries and were treated and released at Kaweah Delta Medical Center.
