On 06/04/15 at approx. 1415 hours Deputies from the Tulare County Sheriff’s Departments Orosi Substation were dispatched to the 12900 Blk of Risely Ave in regards to a report of a man suffering from a gunshot wound at that location. Upon Deputies arrival they located the victim, a known “southern gang member”, suffering from a gunshot wound to his upper torso area. The victim was treated on scene by EMS personnel and transported to a local hospital for treatment of his injuries.
Investigators from the North County Gang Violence Suppression Unit were called to assist in the investigation. The investigation determined that the victim was the passenger in a vehicle and they were driving southbound on Rd 144 south of Ave 416 when a Grey 4 door vehicle passed them and fired several shots at the victim’s vehicle. The Victim realized he had been shot and was driven home for medical assistance. Witnesses state the suspect vehicle is a Grey style four door compact that was last seen traveling southbound on Rd 144 from the scene occupied by several unknown subjects in the vehicle.
Further investigation by investigators of the GVSU were able to identify a suspect, who is a known northern gang member, in this case and led them to a residence in the 41000 Blk of David Ct. Orosi where they served a search warrant on 6-12-15. The investigators located the vehicle used in the crime and evidence linking the suspect to the crime as well. A stolen handgun, a quantity of marijuana and indicia indicating sales of marijuana were located and seized. The suspect was taken into custody without incident and booked at the Tulare County APTF on the listed charges. Alejandro is a person of interest in other active investigations by the GVSU.
