On 3-1-15 at 1856 hours, the Tulare County Sheriff’s Department responded to a business located in the 12800 block of Rd.128, Orosi regarding a shooting. Upon arrival the victim was located and found to have sustained several gunshot wounds to the upper torso. The victim was immediately transported to a local medical facility for treatment.

Investigation revealed that a verbal fight occurred between two patrons inside the business and the suspect retrieved a weapon from his vehicle. As the victim was leaving the establishment, he was again confronted by the suspect and fired upon. The suspect fled the scene after the incident. The victim is in stable but guarded condition.

**UPDATE**

 

The incident is being investigated by detectives from the Violent Crimes and the North County Gang Violence Suppression Units. On 03-03-15 at 2345 hours the ensuing investigation revealed the suspect who was identified as Adolfo Sanchez 19 yrs is a “Sureno” Gang Member, was located by investigators of the North County GVSU in the 300 blk of “J” St. in the city of Dinuba. When Investigators from the North County GVSU and Officers from the Dinuba Police Department approached Sanchez he fled on foot. Sanchez was subsequently located hiding in a shed in the 900 Blk of Elizabeth Way and taken into custody without incident by Officers of the Dinuba Police Department and Investigators of the North County GVSU. 

The suspect, Adolfo Sanchez was booked at the Adult Pre-Trail Facility on one count of Attempted Homicide and his bail is set at $500,000.00. The weapon is still outstanding. The victim is in stable condition at a local hospital. The investigation is continuing and no further information is being released at this time. Booking Photo available through the Main Jail.
