On June 16, 2018 at approximately 1919 hours, Deputies from the Tulare County Sheriff’s Office responded to the 19400 block of Wallace Road, in Strathmore, regarding a report of a stabbing. Upon arrival, Deputies located the victim who had sustained multiple stab/puncture wounds to his upper torso area.

During the course of the investigation, an adult male identified as Raul Figueroa was identified as the suspect.

Figueroa was located a short time later in the area near the assault and was taken into custody without incident. The victim was transported to a local hospital where he is listed in stable condition. The motive for the stabbing is still under investigation.

Figueroa was transported and booked at the Porterville Substation without incident.
