On February 8th, 2019 at approximately 2100 hours Tulare County Sheriff Deputies were dispatched to the area of Cindy Road and Avenue 404, Cutler Ca, in regard to a male subject who was beat with a metal object.
Upon arrival Deputies were told one adult male victim had sustained major injuries and was unresponsive. The male victim was transported to a local hospital by ambulance where he sought treatment for his injuries. Detectives took over the investigation. The primary suspect was later identified as Gary Dicochea. Detectives tried to find him, but were unsuccessful on the day of the incident. Detective later obtained a Ramey Warrant for his arrest with a bail amount of $1,000,000.
On February 28, 2019 Detectives culminated their investigation by finding Gary Dicochea at a residence located in the 38700 block of Road 140 in Yettem. Detectives arrested Dicochea without incident. During the investigation, Detectives found and recovered a stolen Artic Cat Quad that was in the backyard of the residence. The recovery value of the stolen property was $4,500.
Dicochea was booked into custody at the Pre-Trial Facility in Visalia where he was charged with attempted homicide in violation of 664-187 PC.
