On 6-30-15 at approx. 0601 hrs. Deputies were dispatched to the 17400 block of RD 224, Porterville regarding a gunshot wound victim.

Upon arrival they located the victim on the side of the road suffering from gunshot wounds to the body. The victim was transported to an area hospital where he is listed in critical but stable condition.

Violent Crimes Detectives responded to the scene and took over the investigation.
