Victim: Tulare County Sheriff Deputy

Suspect: Luis Roberto Cimentel

                27 years old, Orosi CA

Narrative: On 04/06/2017 at 2310 hours, deputies contacted Luis R. Cimentel.  (S) Cimentel was giving deputies conflicting information concerning his true name.  Deputies utilized resources and discovered his true name and date of birth.  Dispatch later advised (S)Cimentel had an active BOL for PC 836/273.5.  

Once (S)Cimentel acknowledged his true name was discovered he fled the scene on foot.  Deputies gave chase and subsequently caught the suspect.  While attempting to arrest the suspect, deputies were injured.  Due to the injury, the suspect became combative and fled the scene.    (S)Cimentel could not be located and is currently outstanding. 

The assault resulted with a deputy being injured.
