On 07/01/15, Detectives from the TCSO Gang Violence Suppression Unit (GVSU) received information on the possible whereabouts of a subject with an active Federal Indictment arrest warrant. The warrant was a result of a 2011 joint investigation between the TCSO Narcotics Task Force and ATF under the operation name of “Red Rover.” This operation took place in the southern portion of Tulare County and this wanted person is the last outstanding suspect from that investigation. The Federal Indictment arrest warrant includes charges for narcotics and weapons. The suspect also has a local, active $10,000.00 misdemeanor arrest warrant.
Detectives from the TCSO GVSU and Deputies from the US Marshal’s Office responded to the possible location of the suspect to conduct surveillance and attempt to locate him. This surveillance detail led to positively identifying the suspect and then a vehicle pursuit in the outlying area of Lindsay. During the pursuit, the suspect was able to flee the area in the vehicle. Approximately 45 minutes following the pursuit, the Sheriff’s Office received a call regarding a suspicious vehicle on Globe Dr. in Springville. Deputies responded to the location and it was confirmed to be the same vehicle involved in the earlier pursuit of the wanted suspect. Assisting units responded to the Springville location in an effort to locate and apprehend the suspect. Members of TCSO, California Highway Patrol and the US Marshal’s Office were involved in the search for the suspect. The CHP aircraft, TCSO aircraft and TCSO K9 Unit were utilized during the vehicle pursuit and ground search for the suspect. After an extensive search of the area the suspect is still outstanding and still wanted on the active Federal Indictment arrest warrant and local misdemeanor arrest warrant.
