Deputies responded to the 27500 block of Avenue 146 in Porterville for a report of a man brandishing a weapon. He got into a vehicle and an adult female drove him away. 

A deputy located the vehicle after a short pursuit. Both the driver and the male subject were taken into custody.

Suspects:

Joshua Williford, 34, was arrested on suspicion of brandishing a weapon and criminal threats.

Sage Emerson, 18, was arrested on evading officer and resisting arrest.
