Deputies responded to a burglary in progress in the 1100 block. of North Burnett, Tipton.

When Deputies arrived, they contacted the reporting party. As the reporting party was driving by the victim’s residence she saw a suspect wearing a yellow plaid jacket exit through one of the victim’s windows. The reporting party called the Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies arrived and located the suspect who was hiding on the property. Deputies detained the suspect. The reporting party identified the subject she saw exit the victim’s house through a window. The suspect was found to be in possession of property belonging to the victim. The suspect was arrested, transported and booked at the Porterville Jail.
