On 3-18-19, Tulare County Sheriff’s Deputies were called to JSC Ag Supply in Delano for a report of a burglary. When they arrived, Deputies found evidence that five suspects walked into the business after cutting into the side of the building. Deputies were told approximately $20,000 worth of Stihl Power equipment was taken. They were also told repair costs to the building were estimated at $10,000.
TCSO Detectives took the investigation over and found evidence that the suspects drove up in a white cargo type van and used various tools to dismantle the security system. They also took their time collecting the high-end power tools.
Back in 2014, Tulare County Ag Crimes Detectives responded to several similar burglaries, where Stihl Power equipment was targeted. The Tulare County Sheriff’s Office would like to encourage local businesses to be on the lookout for suspicious people, who may be paying attention to store fronts where this type of equipment is sold. In 2014, multiple locations in Tulare County, as well as neighboring counties, were victimized. All sold the same type of equipment and were accessed in the same manner.
