On 12-24-2018, Deputies with the Tulare County Sheriff’s Office were called to a home in Tulare regarding a residential burglary. During the investigation, they learned someone walked onto the property and took a classic 1942 Harley Davidson Motorcycle.
Detectives found out the motorcycle was at a home in the 3100 block of Meadow in Visalia.
On 01-04-2019, TAGNET Detectives, the Tulare Regional Auto Theft Team (TRATT), and Tulare County Probation served a search warrant at the home. There, they found the stolen Harley Davidson in the backyard. Detectives also found a gun, ammunition, an additional stolen license plate, and methamphetamine. 33-year-old Richard Griffith of Visalia was contacted at the home and taken into custody for Theft of a motorcycle, Possession of a stolen motorcycle, felon in possession of a firearm, Possession of a controlled substance and felon in possession of ammunition. Griffith was already on Tulare County Probation for burglary and had a previous arrest for a stolen vehicle investigation. He was booked into the Adult Pre-Trial Facility.
