Tulare County Sheriff’s Department Deputies and Detectives were called to the area of Ave 16/Hwy 99 to investigate a report of a Carjacking.  Upon arrival Deputies and Detectives contacted the victims who advised they were driving in the area of Ave 16/Hwy 99 when their vehicle was struck from behind by another vehicle.  As the male victim exited his vehicle he was approached by a subject pointing a firearm at him.  The suspect walked to the driver side and fired a shot through the driver side window where the female driver was sitting, however the female was not struck.  The female victim exited the vehicle at the request of the suspect and the suspect drove away in the victim’s vehicle.
