Walter Chavez, 26 years old

On 07/21/2016 at approximately 1940 hours, Deputies from the Sheriff’s Pixley Substation responded to the 400 block of South Burnett Road, in Tipton, regarding a suspicious person acting erratically.  During the investigation, Deputies contacted the suspect, Walter Chavez, and determined that he was extremely intoxicated. Deputies also located a dirk concealed in Chavez's pocket. 

Chavez was arrested, transported and booked into custody at the Sheriff’s Porterville Substation.
