CAUGHT IN THE ACT: Deputies Intercept Man Trying to Drive Off with $56,000 Construction Lift

On 11/05/18 at 8:19 a.m., deputies from the Tulare County Sheriff’s Office were called out to the area of Robinson Road and Avenue 312 in Goshen for a suspicious person in the area.

When deputies arrived they saw a Hispanic male, later identified as 44-year-old Antonio Marquez, driving a construction lift from a dirt lot heading towards Robinson Road. Antonio matched the description of the suspicious person given to deputies.

Upon investigation deputies learned Antonio was attempting to take the lift, which was valued at $56,000. The lift was returned to the owner.  Marquez was arrested for Grand Theft and booked into the Tulare County Adult Pre-Trial Facility.  

This case is currently being investigated by the Tulare County Sheriff’s Office.
